Essential Oils Relieve Pain from Sitting
On my journey to Oregon, I ended up sitting way to long in the airport and on the planes as it was a bumpy ride and the seat belt sign was kept on most of the flight.
I was able to rub some Young Livings peppermint essential oil on my leg while waiting in the Denver Airport when using a Handicap bathroom stall with enough room for my luggage and allowing me enough space to reach down and rub Peppermint and Heliochrysium oils on my leg. That helped a lot!
And then at my Mom’s house, every chair I sat in to work on the computer was very uncomfortable for my body. Add to that, the one thing she can do and does enjoy is playing cards, which also involves more sitting for me.
I have a problem with poor circulation in my left leg which means I need to move more often than other people. So I do get up and walk more often, but Oregon’s dreary weather doesn’t excite me. At least I can find some small parks in the area and beautiful flowers to keep my interest in the surroundings and enjoy the natural beauty offered to me here.
But all the chairs at her home are very uncomfortable and my butt and legs had some pains shooting down after sitting to long.
I rolled on Young Livings Blend called “Deep Relief” and that helped immensely to relieve the pain at night and the next morning.
I then went in search of a used furniture store in hopes to finding a better office chair for under $25 for now and future visits.
I always get lost in this little town, the roads sort of follow the pattern of cow paths in my mind and have many dead ends.
Before leaving the house, I rubbed some Frankincense Essential Oil (great to aid meditaion and visulizing goals) on my temples and heart chakra and did a little visualization of what I needed to find. While driving around doing many errands that my Mom needed taken care or while I was here, I was guided to take a different route between destinations than I would ever have ventured on for fear of getting lost. I found the perfect store for all my wants and needs for clothing to have and leave here for future visits. It turned to to be a place neither my brother or niece had ever heard of in all their years of looking for inexpensive used clothes to wear when playing in the band.
For under $25 I found a great beach jacket, a heavy jacket to walk in (no more carrying a jacket on the plane and around the airports), an awesome pair of sandals (I may take these back to Colorado), a flannel shirt and an office chair that is much, much, much more comfortable.
My brother loved the chair also and will use it when he works at my Mom’s house while helping take care of her when I leave again.
Take deep breaths and trust your intuition and guides to get you where you need to be.

Traveling with Essential Oils
I find it essential to carry many Young Living Essential Oils when I travel. They almost fill up my quart bag allowed on planes, and still I always wish I had more when I arrive at my destination.
This trip to Oregon started with a delayed flight that caused me to miss my other flight.
Young Livings Peace&Calming Essential Oil Blend was essential to rub on my heart and temples when trying to stay at Peace with the delay and relieve my stress naturally.
I guess I would rather a plane that had been fixed, than one they took a chance on flying that had a problem. But is was such a large problem, it seems it would have shown up long before this flight in time to get us another plane . . .
It actually worked better for my Brother who was picking me up in Oregon, so there was a couple of upside to my spending a day in the Denver airport reading which I rarely have time to do just for pleasure.
In my breast pocket of my jacket I had my zippered pouch that held the cloth I had put a few drops of lavender essential oil and I added some Purification to it for the longer wait in the very public place of the Denver airport. Purification helps fight airborne germs along with lavender essential oil.
I created my own Natural Energy Drink by adding some Peppermint Essential Oil to my water bottle to help keep me alert, hydrated and more energized for the longer trip. Every time I opened the bottle an energizing and refreshing scent filled the air and I breathed deeply to help me stay awake.
Breath deep and stay healthy and calm when traveling no matter what happens.
Essential Oils to Uplift Your Spirit
I am using my Essential Oil arsenal to the max today.
Diffusing Rosewood Essential Oil and wearing Young Livings Essential Oil blend called “Joy” to try and stay focused and not collapse into doing nothing because of the challenges the world has been handing me the last few days.
You know the expression: “When Life hands you Lemons, make Lemonade.”
I am doing that literally and physically.
A tenant in my Manitou Springs apartment left without notice, and after assuring me he was staying every week over the last month, when it would have been a better time for me to advertise the space.
He left quite a few messes, including a broken kitchen sink.
In his refrigerator there was a bag of organic lemons, hence the lemonade that I made with Twin Link Springs Mineral water that is famous for its Lithium content and is right across the street from me in Manitou Springs.
I am taking Young Livings “Inner Defense” with that that drink, to help my immune system stay strong during this time of challenges. It is created using Essential Oils and Coconut Oil.
And as an added precaution, putting a few of “ImmunePower” in my favorite Carrier Oil (Olive Oil) and rubbing on my throat during the day and on my feet at night. This is 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils to help increase one’s immune system during times of stress and when others around you are experiencing colds and flu.
I am still a bit “shaky” today, but am getting things accomplished and not curling up in a little ball as my first line of defense wanted me to do.
I am sure I will be using Young Livings “PeaceAndCalming” Essential Oil Blend and diffuse some Lavender while I sip a cup of Chamomile Tea tonight before heading to bed to help me sleep tonight.
Taking the time to Breath Deeply, Find my Center, and Take the Next Step to getting something done, rather than letting it all overwhelm me.
Next writing, I hope to be a bit more cheery.

Lavender Essential Oil Relieves Dry Eyes
Manitou Springs Colorado is pretty dry most of the time. I grew up in the Midwest and although I have lived here many years, my skin and eyes often feel very dry.
Yesterday, I was tired of putting eye drops in my eyes and reached for my Young Living Lavender Essential Oil to rub on the bridge of my nose. A friend had mentioned this had help to relieve her dry eyes, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I was happy to notice that for the rest of the day, I did not reach for the eye drops once.
So the next morning I started my day by rubbing a drop of Lavender essential oil on the bridge of my nose and my eyes felt great all day long.
Whenever using essential oils close to your eyes, be very careful not to get the oil in your eyes, but use a small amount and rub it into the skin so it can’t drip into an eye.
This has worked for me for many days now. Sometimes I do need another drop rubbed on my nose, but my eyes have been feeling great lately.
Of course breathing in the scent of Lavender essential oil also helps to keep me calm and peaceful. Aromatherapy with the oil is an added benefit for using it to relieve my dry eye challenge.

Essential Oils: Refresh Skunked House
A couple of nights ago, I was talking on the phone and almost passed out from the air I was breathing. I was the strongest skunk smell I have experienced in years.
We do have skunk who often walks around the house, and it a slightly unpleasant scent that doesn’t last for long.
But this time the skunk scent strongly and unpleasantly filled every room.
Now I am a fan of aromatherapy and breathing in deeply, but Skunk is not one my choice scents to breath even shallowly!
I hung up the phone. Checked in the basement to be sure he hadn’t wandered in the cat window. Nope, not even a trace of his odor down there. Curious.
I grabbed a couple of small spray bottles and filled them with pure waters. I added 15 drops of Young Livings Lavender Essential oil to one and added about 10 drops of the Young Living Essential Oil Blend Purification to it.
Opened the front door and it was strong out there, sprayed a bit of Purification to deter him from coming up the stairs, if he hadn’t already.
Next I went from room to room spraying the bottle with Lavender Essential Oil to help dissipate the Skunk smell without using chemical-based air freshener.
The living room was the worst, so I added a second round of the Purification to transform the air back to a pleasant scent.
In no time at all, my home smelled like a flower garden, not the astringent odor of skunk.
I always keep some small spray bottles close at hand, some are filled with pure water and 15 drops of Lemon Essential Oil and one about 10 drops of Pine Essential Oil dropped in it. I use these as non-toxic cleaning solutions that help keep bacteria from growing on kitchen counters and in the bathroom.
But the Lavender and Purification essential oil blend really did the trick to “deskunk” the air in my home the other night.
The next day I walked outside to see if I could find where he might have sprayed, but there was no trace left. Odd, and I hope he doesn’t walk by again too soon, or takes a bath before he does.
Years ago a tenant’s dog got a mouthful of skunk, and when he was dropped, that critter sprayed the side of my home. I used various essential oils (Thieves, Purification, Lavender, Lemon) to get the scent out as best I could. I don’t anything could remove that scent from the wood that was soaked by his spray any better. And the scent did dissipate in a couple of days.
Manitou Springs has it share of wildlife: bears, grackles, raccoons, deer and skunks that take leisurely walks near homes, even downtown sometimes. The creek in front of my home is a pathway for many a creature, especially bears and raccoons. I am always very wary when I walk into my yard or out my door at dusk or during the dark of night to watch for any thing moving that I wouldn’t want to frighten or cause them to attach or spray me.
Essential Oils: Wintergreen Relieves Foot Pain
The other day, I took a really, really long hike.
I took a drink of Young Livings NingXia Red natural energy to drink before I left and when I was going uphill, I had a packet handy to give me a good boost of energy to make it to the top when I was feeling really tired.
I shared one with my hiking partner, and she suddenly had such a boost of energy, she left me behind.
She was skipping up the last hill!
I got re-energized, but not quite as fast moving as she was.
At the top of the hill, we were very much filled with Joy.
It was a glorious view of the last of the Aspens turning colors near Cripple Creek.
I’d never been on this trail and we were awed by the beauty.
The sound of the leaves whispering in the wind made us both stand in silent wonder, listening to the music of nature.
And the smells, no aromatherapy can compare to the actual scents in the woods.
Diffusing Young Livings Pine Essential Oil comes closest, but I have to admit the smells of the forest, crushing leaves beneath our feet, our noses were in Heaven.
I do just fine going up hill.
But sometimes going downhill, my feet begin to complain.
My hiking partner was still moving faster than I was on the downhill side.
I took my time as I don’t have the best knees, so hate to take the chance of falling.
I really was enjoying the views and the last leaves of autumn.
Even the stands of Aspens that were totally denuded of leaves were amazingly beautiful!
We were both so very grateful for having this joyful hike in the Colorado mountains.
It was a perfect day, perfect hiking partner, perfect new trail to explore on an autumn day.
But when I got home and took off my hiking boots, my feet were not happy campers.
I grabbed my Young Living Wintergreen Essential Oil and put some drops in Olive Oil, then massaged it into my feet.
Ahhh . . . relief came quickly.
Later that night my feet felt just fine!
So glad I remembered that Wintergreen Essential Oil was the perfect addition to a carrier oil to massage the pain away from my feet!
Nature can help ease any anxieties and a good hike allows the body to really relax into a good night sleep. I definitely slept well that night.
Essential Oils: Get Clear
Every have one of those days that you seem to be moving in circles, rather than a straight line.
That was my day today.
But unfortunately I had started my morning with a headache.
I rubbed Young Livings Essential Oil Blend M-Grain, which did help to reduce the pain in my head.
But the headache made me a bit unfocused and distracted.
I had planned on focusing in on learning more about marketing.
I did use Young Livings Essential Oil Blend Clarity to breath in with a few deep breaths whenever trying to decide what to do next.
The Commonwheell Arts & Crafts Festival that I coordinate always buys the members Pizza as a thank you for the October meeting. Which means I have to make all the arrangements for Pizza, drinks, desert, etc. and I had not remembered how much time that would take from my day.
And I wanted to get some of the items I created in my feather art studio ready for our Web Master to get photos and put on the web. More time away from the computer.
Then there were the “Must Attend To Today” emails from other sources and my other business dealings. And The School of Inner Health web site needed some updating with new dates and an new Practitioner’s information.
And now, its time to walk back to the Commonwheel Artists Co-op to get things set-up for the Pizza and meeting. Oops, need to get my report ready also.
So I think I’ll put a bit of Young Livings Essential Oil Blend “Harmony” on my heart and temples so I stay in step with the rest of the group and maybe wearing it will help bring Harmony to our meeting and everyone will get to go home early.
Gotta run . . .
Essential Oils: Aid Healing Fear
Ever know you need to take a step in a new direction, but just don’t have the courage and are filled with fear of the unknown?
Valor – Young Livings Essential Oil Blend – rubbed on the feet really does help.
I am going thru some major transitions and wanted some extra boost to my courage to make the changes.
Valor has given me the strength and courage to move thru my fear and onto another level of my business.
Diffusing Clarity, another Young Livings Essential Oil Blend, in my office helps me focus and clear my mind. I take deep breaths when listening to webinars and and rub some Clarity on my third eye to look within before making decisions about what course to take and figure out ways to change my fortune.
If you feel like you are standing on the edge of success, not sure ready to take the next step, try rubbing Valor on your feet and breath in Clarity.
Diffusing Essential Oils and/or massaging your body with Essential Oils can help to align your mind, body and spirit to allow you to find the right path you need to follow.
Don’t jump off a cliff, take a step back, close your eyes, relax, take ten deep breaths of Valor or Clarity or Harmony. Find your center, then take a look around at your options.
Most likely you will find the Clarity to see the path to take that feels right and be able to release the fear of making a change or trying something new.
Essential Oils: Valor To Take Next Steps
I meet with a small group of artists about once a month.
Last meeting we didn’t create anything or do a introspective exercise.
We just sat and talked about where we are on our artistic paths.
A couple of them mentioned being on ETSY.com.
I had been hesitating about using it, reasoning that:
I have my own web site for my Fantafaces art work.
Right, but is there any traffic, or sales coming from it?
Not really. A hit here and there, but nothing really to talk about.
So that night I rubbed Young Livings Essential Oil Blend Valor on my feet and went to sleep visioning making sales of my Fantafaces.
I woke clear that I needed to get some items on ETSY.com
It was time to follow my intuition about making this change.
Once again I rubbed Young Livings Essential Oil Blend Valor on my feet and my heart and just for good measure, on my third eye.
I grabbed my camera and started taking new photos of all the items I had for sale that were hanging around my studio. And I vowed to put 3 hours in on Saturday to create new products for the site.
I put on about a dozen items the first day. I diffused some Young Livings Essential Oil Blend Clarity while trying to figure out the mechanics to get the site working for me. I am very computer literate, but some things you just have to slow down and focus on each step to understand what you need to do the first time.
Anyway, it took me a few hours, but I felt strong and positive that this was the right thing for me to do. Now I need to go in and get my Fantafaces website pointing to the www.fantafaces.etsy.com site and see what happens.
I truly believe that Breathing in Essential Oils and fresh air is the key to staying focused and following your path.
Essential Oils: Sit With Your Joy
Some days its hard to get out of bed, but then I look at the sun shining in my window and know there is a beautiful world to explore and play upon.
One days like this, I reach for Young Livings Essential Oil Blend Joy to diffuse or just rub on my heart chakra. I sit and breath in this natural essence of floral scents and find my self finding Joy in just being alive.
Thisvessential oil also helps me bring out my most Creative side when I feel more joyful in my heart.
Nature is deeply embedded in my being and one whiff of Joy helps bring it back to the surface.
On a recent hike near Cripple Creek, a friend and I pushed ourselves beyond our normal “safe” hiking distance. We were rewarded with the most spectacular display of Aspen colors I have ever had the privilege to witness.
Joy filled us the moment we walked onto the Pancake Rock area and this vista of color filled our eyes.
We sat upon the odd rock formations and let the Joy of this beautiful sight fill our beings completely for a long time.
The images we enjoyed there will bring Joy to our hearts for years to come.
