Essential Oils: Find Harmony in Muddy Waters

I came home from a business trip and looked in my basement and found this.
I definitely needed a bit of Young Livings Essential Oil Blend PeaceAndCalming to sleep that night. And have been using YL Blend Melrose and Lemon Essential Oil to mitigate any potential of mold forming, but I am in Colorado and it would dry quickly if it would just stop raining!

The music is by my friend Charles Sjolander mentioned on my music page. (OK, another challenge – my music page doesn’t have the information I put there awhile ago . . .)

Young Living has an essential oil blend called “Harmony” and I used that to help me find peace with the challenge I am being beset with now. Breathing into Harmony rather than chaos and frustration helps me keep centered.

I am diffusing Pine essential oil to help take the musty smell out of the air through out the house and it really is helping me breath better also.

My plumber, handyman, friend Karl and I figured out what is causing the problem, but we don’t know the actual source. An old sewer line that has caused me problems before.

Years ago, roots got in to this line and cracked my real sewer line in the basement. Huge roots were pulled out, and after we determined that running water everywhere in the house, no water came out of this line. So it was capped off and no longer connected to my sewer line.

Over the years since, and actually before this time, a trickle of water would come out between rocks on the crawlspace wall when it rained especially hard. I feared I had a spring in my basement.
Recently the dirt was disturbed for a project in the crawlspace and now water forms a pond there, then pours into the basement.
Somehow water has been getting into this line when it rains. And where it is broken in the crawl space that water is escaping into the newly loosened dirt and cascading over where a couple of rocks were removed from the wall.

No Easy solution has been found. We can’t find where it enters the crawl space from outside and we haven’t crawled in to dig around in the muddy low ceiling area yet.

Stormy weather continued and I was a red muddy mess for the second day. A little bit of Peppermint in my Manitou Springs Natural Spring water to stay hydrated and rubbed under my noise for an energizing aid to keep from being exhausted also helped.

But we installed a temporary pump to hopefully mitigate the wet mess in the basement and pump it out during the next rains and I can avoid the messy work of bailing and shoveling red mud back into the crawlspace.

PeaceAndCalming and Lavender diffused in my sleeping area after a nice calming cup of Chamomile tea have helped me sleep each night.
