Essential Oil Tips: Beat the Heat w/ Peppermint
I am blessed with a house that stays cool all summer long. But when I have to step outside, I have been greeted by an oven baking sun – when it isn’t raining – in Colorado.
I carry a bottle of Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil in my car or purse for many reasons.
Just the cooling scent helps keep me feeling refreshed and alert. When I rub a drop under my nose I wake up from the fog the heat has put me in.
Or rub some on the back of my neck and it helps cool my body down.
I can grab water from many Manitou Spring Natural Mineral Springs and have an instant cool drink that is refreshing as any soda pop I’ve ever tried and it helps hydrate rather than DEhydrate like sugary drinks do. It’s the perfect natural energy drink – minerals and peppermint make a perfectly healthy drink to keep one energized during a long, hot day.
Just before going into a meeting after a drive in my car with no air conditioning, I like to take a breath of peppermint essential oil to realign my mind to a purposeful and cooler approach to whatever will be thrown at me at the meeting.
And if my muscles ache while I am away from home or get a headache, this oil is one that works to relieve muscle & headache pain quickly where ever you may be.
Just for fun, here is a link to one of the videos that show some of the beautiful jewelry that will be at the Commonwheel Artists 36th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival I am coordinating in Manitou Springs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlvG88Qmkj0
I will have peppermint essential oil handy all weekend long to stay cool of mind, body and emotions.
